Тема кораблей на Байкале будет неизбежно привлекать внимание. Во-первых, их здесь много. Во-вторых, они красиво отражаются в прозрачнейшей байкальской воде. В-третьих, это ещё один вид туристического развлечения, предлагаемый данным регионом.

Маленькая особенность: на Байкале на кораблях нет спасательных жилетов. В общем-то, они здесь ни к чему, потому что в холодной воде человек может продержаться в среднем не больше 20 мин, и при этом нужно ещё учесть такой момент, что когда человек внезапно выпадает за борт, холодная вода, резко обжигая тело, может вызвать спазм, из-за чего можно задохнуться. Поэтому это ещё и рискованное развлечение. Но ― не всё так плохо. В штиль это более чем приятное развлечение (хотя мне довелось плавать по этому озеру не только в штиль). Когда озеро спокойно, ты прекрасно понимаешь, почему поверхность водоёма часто называют гладью ― здесь кораблики действительно как будто скользят по поверхности.

Хотя есть у этого вида транспорта и свой минус: работают они на топливе, которое не очень приятно пахнет и оставляет после себя масляные пятна на воде (соответственно, загрязняя озеро). Мне кажется, что уже пора задумываться над тем, чтобы по Байкалу туристы плавали исключительно на экологических видах плавсредств. Что касается рыбаков ― здесь не буду ничего говорить, ибо понимаю, что каждый выживает в нашей стране как может. Конечно же, в идеале нужно, чтобы и местные жители не загрязняли озеро. Но... это больной вопрос, и озеро тут попадает в самый конец списка проблем.

Поэтому, с одной стороны, здесь много картинок симпатичных корабликов... но посмотрите на эту ситуацию с другой стороны ― этим корабликам здесь не место. Я не осуждаю людей, которые зарабатывают туристическими экскурсиями, как и не осуждаю людей, которые хотят побывать на таких экскурсиях. Вопрос не в этом. Вопрос в том, что наша неспособность заглянуть в Будущее и спрогнозировать последствия наших поступков может превратить фотографии ниже в памятник прошлому, у которого этого будущего не оказалось ― в памятник, с чего начиналась та катастрофа, которая может случить в будущем, если мы не станем предпринимать достаточных мер по защите озера. Ибо единственное, что человек научился делать достаточно хорошо ― это замусоривать ареал своего обитания. Сейчас экология озера меняется. И, как вы догадываетесь, не в лучшую сторону. Разумеется, у этой проблемы несколько причин, и топливо от плавсредств ― это только одна сторона медали. Впрочем, россияне всё-таки больше азиаты, европейцев среди нас ― единицы. А для азиатов характерно утилитарное отношение к природе (бери здесь и сейчас). Тем более что озеро Байкал находится в азиатской части России...

This is a pretty pleasant entertainment in calm weather, although, I happened to sail on this lake not only in calm weather. When the lake is calm, you understand very well why the surface of a piece of water is often called a smooth surface. Here the boats really seem to glide on the surface.

Unfortunately, this type of transport has its own drawback: they work on fuel with unpleasant smell and leaves oil stains on the water (respectively, polluting the lake). I suppose that it is time to think about the fact that tourists on lake Baikal should to sail only on ecological types of watercraft. As for the fishermen ― I will not say anything about this, because I understand that everyone survives in Russia as best they can. I understand that, ideally, local peoples have not to pollute the lake. But... this is a sore point, and the lake here falls at the very end of the list of problems.

So, on the one hand, there are a lot of pictures of cute boats... but look at this situation from the other side ― these ships do not belong here. I don't criticize people who earn money on tourist excursions, just as I'm not judging people who want to go on such excursions. The question is not in that. The question is that our inability to look into the Future and predict the consequences of our actions can turn the photos below into a monument to the Past, which did not have this future ― a monument to what began the disaster that may happen in the future if we do not take sufficient measures to protect the lake. People have learned to do well just one thing: to litter their habitat. Now the ecology of the lake is changing. And, as you can guess, not for the better. Of course, there are several reasons for this problem. Fuel from watercrafts is only one side of the coin. Anyway, Russians are more Asians, and there are only a few Europeans among us. And Asians are characterized by a more utilitarian attitude to nature (take it here and now). Moreover, lake Baikal is located in the Asian part of Russia...
