Некоторые считают, что гулять по ночам очень опасно. И, возможно, они правы, однако я слишком люблю ночные городские пейзажи, чтобы потакать чьим-то страхам. Поэтому мне очень хотелось увидеть Лхасу в свете ночных огней, и узнать, а как выглядит этот город после заката?

Надо сказать, что город меня не только не разочаровал, но даже удивил ― в городе оказалось очень много фасадной подсветки. Так как это было лето, июнь, темнело достаточно поздно, однако этот город не желал останавливаться даже глубокой ночью. Оно и понятно: это же всё-таки столица. Пусть региона, но это древнейший центр духовной культуры, привлекающий к себе внимание множества людей уже не первое тысячелетие. Поэтому ночью тут тоже встречается относительно много людей. Не так, как днём, конечно, но тоже достаточно ― туристы, паломники, да и местные жители тоже, которых здесь немало.

Конечно, основная масса лавочек и магазинчиков на ночь закрываются, но некоторые работают допоздна, как и заведения общепита.

Вообще атмосфера царит очень приятная. Гулять по ночной Лхасе совершенно не страшно. Более того, это очень интересно. Потому что ночью город нам показался ещё красивее, чем днём.

Some people think that walking at night is very dangerous. And they may be right, but I love nighttime urban landscapes too much to indulge anyone's fears. Therefore, I really wanted to see Lhasa in the night lights, and to find out what this city looks like after sunset.

I have to say that the city not only did not disappoint me, but even surprised me ― there was a lot of the facade lighting in the city. Since it was summer, June, it was getting dark quite late, but this city did not want to stop even in the dead of night. It is understandable: this is the capital. Let is the region capital, but it is the oldest center of spiritual culture, attracting the attention of many people for more than the first millennium. Therefore, there are also relatively many people here at night. Not as much as during the day, of course, but also enough ― are tourists, pilgrims, and local residents, too, of which there are many.

Of course, most of the shops are closed for the night, but some work late, as well as catering establishments.

In general, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Walking around Lhasa at night is not scary. Moreover, it is very interesting. It's because the city seemed to us at night even more beautiful than during the day.
