Есть такое местечко на Кавказе ― урочище Джилы-Су. Расположено оно в северной части Приэльбрусья, на территории Кабардино-Балкарии. Местечко в общем-то дикое (не смотря на присутствие там человека) и в общем-то не особо известное широкой общественности, хотя об этом месте знают многие поклонники отдыха в Кисловодске.

Интересно это место прежде всего уникальными источниками ― здесь прямо из-под земли (хотя земля в данном случае условное понятие, так как находятся эти источники выше 2000 над уровнем моря) бьют "нарзанные" ключи. Вообще надо сказать, что в этих местах нарзаном называют любую минеральную воду, а не только продукцию известного кисловодского завода (кому интересно ― загляните в Википедию хотя бы, там в общем-то всё верно написано). Но это тема отдельного разговора, здесь же я, как большой любитель автомобильных путешествий, хочу рассказать о дороге, ведущей в это замечательное место.

Дорога была введена в эксплуатацию где-то после 2013 года ― точные данные я особо не искала, но для Кабардино-Балкарии в 2012-ом году это был проект номер один (источник). Дорога действительно очень хорошая. Только зимой она фактически закрыта из-за снежных заносов. Надо сказать, что не без основания, так как ограждение сделано не везде и очень много крутых поворотов, в том числе над обрывами.

Конечно, любители всяких подробностей могут назвать, как называются все эти плато, долины и прочие природные объекты, через которые бежит эта дорога, но я, с одной стороны, честно, не помню, с другой ― нарочно не хочу упоминать их здесь, потому что это настолько чудесный уголок природы, что его совершенно не хочется рекламировать. Я понимаю, что власти Кабардино-Балкарии возлагают на эту дорогу огромные надежды, связанные с притоком туристов, но, возможно, постройка этой дороги не принесёт в этот край ничего хорошего, ибо дикие места интересны прежде всего отсутствием человека. К сожалению, основная масса людей, живущих в нашей стране, пока не способны уважительно относиться к природе, относясь к ней с потребительско-эксплуататорским настроем. Вот и появление этой дороги ― несомненно, одной из самых красивых дорог в России ― вызывает, с одной стороны, восторг, что теперь так легко всё это посмотреть, а с другой ― боль, что всему этому вскорости может прийти конец. В интернете уже есть заметки, в которых любители пешего туризма жалуются, что особо ретивые товарищи, приватизировав себе лакомые куски красивых ущелий, теперь не разрешают туристам ходить в общем-то годами нахоженными тропами. И, боюсь, что эта дорога также может поспособствовать сильному изменению этого региона. Нет, я не против, если всё будет сделано с умом, а не ради показухи. Но даже если в Джилы-Су вдруг появятся гостиницы и рестораны, это будет уже совсем не тот дикий край, которым мы восхищались когда-то, в одиночестве стоя над каким-нибудь высоким обрывом.

Кавказские горы очень живописны, я их очень люблю. Путешествие по этой дороге позволяет насладиться видами северного Приэльбрусья. А уж в пограничное время года и подавно, особенно когда по дороге тебе встретилось всего три машины. Это постоянные повороты, спуски и подъемы. Здесь ― настоящий Кавказ с высокими горными перевалами и спусками по десять километров. Если неправильно управлять автомобилем, то здесь он может легко закипеть, что мы наблюдали даже в нашу в общем-то уединённую поездку (к счастью, это было не с нашим автомобилем). В горах необходимо соблюдать определённые правила высокогорного вождения, и на этой дороге это особенно актуально, учитывая, что очень много столь крутых поворотов, что даже наличие ограждения не способно оградить тебя от встречи с вечностью, если будешь лихачить. Горы не терпят суеты. Впрочем, здесь действительно не хочется быстро ехать. Хочется просто катиться по весёлому асфальту, любуясь окрестностями.

Фотографии сделаны 28 апреля 2015-го года. Учитывая, что дорога нас очень впечатлила, я решила разбить её на три части. Здесь дано общее представление о том, что ждет тебя на этом пути, вторую часть я посвятила горным перевалам, третья часть рассказывает о путешествии на закате.

There is such a place in the Caucasus ― the mountain area Dzhily-Su. It is located in the northern part of the Elbrus region, on the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria. The place is generally wild (despite the presence of a human there), and not particularly known to the public, although, many fans of recreation in Kislovodsk know about this place.

This place is interesting primarily unique springs, which beat here directly from under the ground (although, the ground in this case is a conditional concept, since these sources are located above 2000 above sea level) ― the so-called Narzan's springs. I have to say that "narzan" is called any mineral water in these places, and not only the products of the famous Kislovodsk plant (who is interested ― please see article on Wikipedia (in Russian) at least, there information is written correctly). But this is a topic of a separate conversation. Here I (as a big fan of car travel) want to tell you about the road leading to this wonderful place.

The road was put into operation sometime after 2013 ― I didn't really look for exact data, but it was the number one project for Kabardino-Balkaria in 2012 (source, in Russian). The road is really very good. Only in winter it is actually closed due to snow wreath. I should to say that this is not done without reason, since the fence is not made everywhere, and there are a lot of sharp turns, including over cliffs.

Of course, lovers of all sorts of details can name the names of all these plateaus, valleys and other natural objects through which this road runs, but I, on the one hand, honestly do not remember, on the other ― I deliberately do not want to mention them here, because this is such a wonderful corner of nature that I do not want to advertise it. I understand that the authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria place great hopes on this road, associated with the influx of tourists, but perhaps the building of this road will not bring anything good to this region, because wild places are interesting primarily for the absence of human. Unfortunately, the majority of people living in Russia are not yet able to respect nature, treating it with a consumer-exploitative attitude. Therefore, the appearance of this road ― undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful roads in Russia ― causes, on the one hand, real delight that it is now so easy to see all this, and, on the other hand ― pain due to all of this may soon come to the end. There are already notes on the Internet, in which hiking enthusiasts complain that particularly zealous comrades, having privatized themselves tidbits of beautiful gorges, now do not allow tourists to walk on some usual trails. And I'm afraid that this road can also contribute to a strong change in this region. No, I don't mind if it will be done wisely, not for show. But even if hotels and restaurants suddenly appear in Dzhily-Su, it will not be the same wild land that we once admired, standing alone on some high cliff.

The Caucasus Mountains are very picturesque, I love them very much. Traveling along this road allows you to enjoy the views of the northern Elbrus region. It's a particularly pleasant place to be in the border season, especially when you've only met three cars on the way. This road is constant turns, descents and ascents. Here is a real Caucasus with high mountain passes and descents of ten kilometers. If you drive the car incorrectly, it can easily boil over here, which we observed even on our secluded trip (fortunately, this was not with our car). It is necessary to observe certain rules of high-altitude driving in the mountains, and on this road this is especially true, given that there are so many sharp turnings that even the presence of a fence is not able to protect you from meeting with eternity if you drive too fast. Mountains do not suffer the bustling. However, here you really do not want to go fast. Here you just want to drive forward on the asphalt, admiring the surroundings.
